A simple silk flower arrangement for around the home.

Items Used

• Glass Tank (40cm x 10cm x 10cm)
• Silk Flowers
• Crystal Pearls
• Bamboo Shoots

Instructions

The first step to creating this display is to prepare the crystal pearls to place in the bottom of the glass vase. Crystal pearls are a water absorbent polymer with the ability to hold water for a long period of time. To prepare the pearls for use you will first need to place them in water for around 8 hours. You should use around 100ml of water per 1gram of crystal pearls.

Once the pearls have absorbed enough water, usually after around 8 hours simply place them into the bottom of the glass vase. You can now place the silk flowers and bamboo shoots into the vase and arrange them. The silks that you choose to use will depend on the theme of the room you are creating the decoration for and your personal taste. In this case we have used some rose sprays.

Tips

• Experiment with different colours of crystal pearls. It is also possible to layer different colours on top of each other in the vase. The pearls will provide water for the bamboo shoots in the vase so there is no need to water them
• Try using different shapes of glass vase or tank.
