New Fusion Flowers Magazine

21 Jul 2010

Issue 55 of Fusion Flowers magazine, released on the 19th July is our summer edition and it’s just packed with design ideas guaranteed to inspire you!

We kick off with our first report from the Chelsea Flower Show and, in particular, the work of the floral designers and florists who braved the soaring temperatures!  In our second report from the Interflora World Cup in Shanghai we look at the work produced by the florists representing Spain, UK, Finland, Japan and France.  In another story from Shanghai we see some of the stunning costumes, models and designs from the Chinese catwalk show.

After our first story about the street florists of Bangkok, we revisit them to find out how they use foliage in design which nicely coincided with a spectacular piece of work from Thailand at the Chelsea Flower Show.

Of course there are also lots of step-by-step designs from our highly talented team of designers plus Sue Phillips reports on a contemporary church festival at St Augustine’s when florists, floral designers and celebrities pitched in to help a worthy cause.

Damien Koh, a regular contributor to Fusion Flowers magazine, allows us a preview of his first book, Damien Koh Monograph, and we hear the story of how he became the wonderful florist that he is today.

More than that, we have another report from the IPM Essen trade show and the JustChrys demonstration when Russian designer, Alexander Bermyakov, revealed some exciting new techniques.

We also have all our regular features and book recommendations AND the deadline for competition entries for the first ever Fusion Flowers International Floral Design Competition where the winner takes home the title and £1,000 … has been extended until 31 July 2010 – so get busy!
